Condition:

The work has been examined framed. Canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals a spot of retouching just above the jug, a smaller spot of retouching (approx.. 2cm long) to the left part of the jug and another spot of retouching towards the cat’s proper left ear which is associated with a patch on the reverse. There are a few lines of craquelure in places notably to the lemons, some of which associated with minor lifting in the lower left quadrant. Impasto is nice. There is some frame rubbing along the edges. This work is in overall good condition.
